下一站辛福 is my all time FAVORITE drama. I got addicted to it this summer when it aired on LA 18, a Chinese channel that I watch sometimes. But this drama first aired in Taiwan in Oct 4, 2009, and ended sometime in January, so it was kind of late of me to pick it up in late July. :) well whatever, I want to talk about this drama.
下一站,辛福 (aka Autumn's Concerto and Next Stop, Happiness), to me, is the best drama ever! I've watched it 5-6 times, and i still cry in the same parts and I'm never tired of it. When it just started airing on LA 18 in late July, I watched the first 3 episodes and liked it alot. I missed one day so I ended up going online to watch what i missed. See, online there's the temptation of watching all the episodes because they are right in front of you, so thats what i did. So when my family & I went to Las Vegas for 3 days, I took my laptop with me and watched Autumn's Concerto every night i was there. I finished it the day before we left back to California. Spending my nights watching it? Wasn't difficult at all, once you start watching it, it's hard to stop, especially when there's nothing that can stop you when you're watching it online.
Here's the summary:
Ren Guang Xi (
Vanness Wu), a cocky law student, seems to lead the perfect life. He’s the sole successor to a huge and famous business and a talented ice hockey player with good looks and charisma to boot. But in reality, his lonely life lacks joy, laughter and motivation. That is until he meets Liang Mu Cheng (
Ady An), the new bento seller at his school canteen. Although orphaned at a young age, Mu Cheng does not let her past affect her and lives life with great passion and determination. A harmless bet brings the two together and Guang Xi slowly changes as Mu Cheng teaches him how to give and love. Tragedy strikes when Guang Xi suddenly has to go through a major brain surgery, causing him to wake up with no memory of his past at all. His mother begs Mu Cheng to leave him and in order to save his life, she has no choice but to do so. Later she learns that she already has Guang Xi’s child.
Six years pass. Mu Cheng lives a quiet life with her young son in the countryside while Guang Xi is now a successful lawyer with no memory of his past and is engaged to He Yi Qian, the kind and beautiful doctor who took care of him after his surgery. Guang Xi has flashbacks during a case and hits his client which sends him to the same town that Mu Cheng and Xiao Le (Guang Xi's son) is living. After he leaves, Xiao Le goes to Taipei to find "Uncle Guang Xi" and meets Guang Xi's mother and collapses from his illness, diabetes. He Yi Qian, Guang Xi's fiancee operates on Xiao Le and gives Guang Xi a wristband that contains photos of him and Mu Cheng. The day before the wedding, Guang Xi sees a memory card of pictures of the two lovers. Guang Xi suddenly realizes that everything that everyone told him was lies and the painful memories begin to rush back. A strangely familiar piano piece stirs Guang Xi’s heart as he struggles to recall his past romance with Mu Cheng, which leads to him knowing about the true father of Xiao Le. He leads to the court to fight for custody. How will the couple make up for six years of lost time? Happiness, which stop will I alight at?
Sound interesting? This summary I found shows more than it should, in my opinion, but it's not like i can write anything better. Beforeee you just exit out of the window, you should hear me out. I'm not just another lame drama lover who's addicted to lame & meaningless dramas. This drama, it's not lame at all and it's really worth the watch. And btw i have never cried so much ever watching a film. So this is really something. And some of you out there, might not like the really sad dramas that make you cry 24/7. Don't worry, this drama won't make you cry 24/7 unless you're the really sensitive type of person who cries over that one grain of rice someone wasted. This is a very touching love story, and it is also very complicated, as a drama should be.

^^ Those were the main characters. I should also point out that this drama was rated #1 in all of Taiwan last year in 2009. So of course it has to be good! I've also recommended it to my friends, i figured i should share the wealth & spread the word. And whether it was a boy or girl, everyone who watched it.. LOVED IT! <3 so give it a chance, let it take up your life and make it part of it :) you won't regret.
